Aachen Future Forum 'Housing© Helena Schulte
Last week, local authorities, administration, housing industry and research met for the first Aachen Future Forum on the topic of housing in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall.
In the morning, experts from research and practice exchanged views on the challenges and potentials of the topic of housing in the Euregio in various workshop sessions. The focus was on data management, innovative housing concepts and regional mobility.
At the public evening event, Helena Schulte, Chair of Planning Theory at RWTH Aachen University and coordinator of the Making of Housing research network, Norbert Plum, Chairman of the Committee for Housing and Real Estate, and Friederike Schweer from Initiative Aachen discussed the potential of the topic of housing in an expert discussion.
The evening offered a direct exchange with the audience and an exciting expert discourse in the presence of various mayors from the Euregio.
The atmospheric prelude to more intensive Euregional cooperation has been made.
