Dissertation: Research on the effectiveness of adaptive building concepts using the example of large apartments for co-living

The housing offers for people with care and support needs, known as Neighborhood-related housing types, generate new types of housing whose planning requirements have not yet been defined more precisely. Based on the identified research needs in this way, exemplary large flats for co-living are being examined in the context of the dissertation. The demand for integration into the housing market raises many constructive as well as structural questions, which will be identified and examined regarding possible solutions within the framework of design studies. The main thesis is that the application of adaptive building concepts offers special potentials within the construction task and thus a relevant contribution can be made to sustainable housing development.
