The research project "Internet of Construction" examines information networks for cross-company collaboration along the value chain of production in the building industry. The primary goal of the project team, which consists of ten companies and research institutes, is to optimize on-time delivery and construction quality along the value chain in the building industry through a continuous flow of information. In particular, the project team is looking at the networks of building companies, prefabricators in the building industry and equipment manufacturers, which have a significant influence on the transfer of digital planning content for implementation on the construction site. The aim is to find effective solutions against existing information gaps.
